Bill,
I want to let you know that I had a great time this summer. I know I didn't apply myself enough until we were getting
near the end, but I think I have an idea on what to work on. I've started putting a weight on the end of my driver so I
can really get the feel of the club coming around behind me and turning over as I swing.
Anyway, enough of that, here's
where we get to the meat of the matter. I can't express enough what this summer has meant to me. I know I was a challenge
to you, in that at first you weren't sure what
shape I was in and how you were going to approach my return to the game.
Then came the task of trying to figure out how to get me to do the things you wanted me to get into my head about the swing,
not an easy task for sure. I can be pretty stubborn in a detrimental way, like an impediment. You stuck with it and tried
to figure out a way to get it through my head how to let the old swing go. I think it finally sunk in that last day, finally.
I
just want to thank you for sticking with me and trying your best to impress on me how I need to change. You have gone above and
beyond the call of duty and it just goes to show what a wonderful person you are and a friend for helping me out. Thank
you. Keep Nantucket in mind for the spring and maybe we can work something out. I want to try and come down in Jan
or Feb for a weekend to see
you, and we can play and have a few laughs.
Take care and be well,
Drew & Tracy
Bill,
It was great working with you for the 2 days. I must admit I was a bit frustrated at first, but by the end of the second day
I felt like I would be able to make progress with some work. I have been to the range a few times since and have been doing the drills
you recommended and am starting to slowly improve my ball striking with my longer irons.
I must say I was impressed with your teaching
style and plan to schedule a lesson in the near future. I really want to become a more consistent ball striker and am willing to put
in the work, so hopefully we can come up with a plan for this year.

Bill,
I was over at RB today to play the front 9 and was hitting the ball quite well. I am getting much better distance off the tee and my 3 metal and 3 rescue are much improved. The biggest difference for me is I am starting to hit the ball straight and longer most of the time. More often than not, I get a little draw with my short irons, mostly 7 - PW. I know I'm not getting the characteristic shot you're trying to get me to hit, but I am getting there. I had a really fun front 9 today! Trying to be true to everything you've shown me I shot 46 from the greens. Not bad!
I hope you are well.
My best...
Tim
Bill,
When I first came to see you I was a weekend golfer with a decent drive and putting stroke (so I thought) but a very erratic
iron game. I had such a hard time hitting greens in regulation and my chips were always 10 plus feet from the pin. I was stuck at
a 27 handicap and losing to my friends on a regular basis. All that changed when I came to see you. Your chipping lesson was incredible
and the exercise using the block of wood really helped me understand how my club should strike the ball. This lesson alone helped
me land my chips consistently within 5 feet of my target and improved my handicap 7 strokes.
Well, I’m writing to let you know
that you have out done yourself with our last session. As you know I recently came to see you for help with my iron game. I was tired
of missing green and constantly struggling to save par and more often tan not I end up with a bogey or double bogey. Again, your technique
using 3 fingers of each hand to hold the club during my warm up allowed me for the first time in over 20 years of playing golf to
properly feel the weight of the club head. Now most of my shots are crisp, the ball is carrying 5 to 10 yards further and best of
all my “misses” are all good misses! The combination of your 2 lessons and a few practice sessions at the driving range have
me shooting under 86 on a regular basis. WOW!
My goal is to become a single digit handicap golfer and I’m confident that with
your continued tutelage I will get there soon.
Thanks for everything!
